BORIS IN SWITZERLAND

At its heart, this book carries a message of friendship, family, and following your snout when it comes to suspecting something. The loyalty that came through the novel and the intriguing clues and discoveries made this novel one that I found hard to put down.

A fun and quirky story, packed with mystery and good fun. Boris and his highly-educated parents are great characters, and their symbolic oppression is mirrored by other minority groups within the story. An enjoyable tale with a strong emotional throughline in the friendship of Boris and his mates. The mystery is simple but very entertaining. Highly recommended.

Great characters, an intriguing mystery to solve, lots of delicious Swiss food, and themes of inclusivity, diversity, friendship, family and bullying will have readers gobbling up this as quickly as Boris devours a cheese platter.

A romp of a read, with an ingenious mystery to solve…

Boris is attending the Institute of International Excellence, a fancy Swiss boarding school. He soon discovers he’s the only wolf attending classes! But soon Boris learns to navigate the snobbish billionnaires’ children, and the rude vice principal. He makes friends, learns how to “log in” and heli-board, and has a plentiful supply of cake.

Yet still, he can’t shake the idea that something funny is going on...

The Howl by Ludwig Vulpinard

This my latest middle grade book, Boris in Switzerland! As a child I used to love reading books about the adventures of children in boarding schools. So, for this book, Boris goes to the fanciest of fancy boarding schools in Switzerland to study for a term.

At L’Institute of Excellence, the children learn extraordinary things – snowboarding, cheesemaking, dressage, and Swahili. They also go on spectacular field trips and have loads of delicious food: Swiss gateaux, fancy cheese, sushi – and chocolate fountains for special occasions.

There’s a lot of art in the book, as we follow the career of artistic wolf Ludwig Vulpinard, and maybe discover that there’s more to the boarding school than meets the eye…

Here is some of Ludwig Vulpinard’s art below.

I enjoyed working on this book - and I hope that you will enjoy reading it.
